Post Office Under Threat - 16 Clapham High Street

A Post Office in Larkhall is under threat of closure as a result of the Post Office's 'Area Plan for London'.

The Post Office at 16 Clapham High Street (opposite Clapham North tube, next to the railway bridge) has been proposed for closure, as the Post Office attempts to reduce the number of branches it operates. The Crown Post Offices at 255 Clapham Road (opposite Stockwell tube station) and at 161 Clapham High Street (just up the road from Sainsburys) are NOT in any risk of closure.

If you use the Post Office at 16 Clapham High Street and wish to make your views known then I encourage you to respond to the consultation. The six-week public consultation period for the London Plan begins on 19/02/08 and all representations should be received by 02/04/08.
